Implementation of one health in wildlife conservation, training program for veterinarians conducted at Pench Tiger Reserve, Maharashtra

Around 40 Veterinarians from several veterinary institutions across India participated in the two day training program on ‘Implementation of one health in wildlife conservation with focus on infectious diseases like rabies and canine distemper. Dr. Bahar Baviskar, wildlife veterinarian, Wild-CER and Dr. Mayank Barde, Veterinary Officer, Pench Tiger Reserve, Maharashtra guided the participants on several aspects of wildlife conservation. Mr. Shrikant, Wildlife biologist also conducted the guided tour for the participants and informed them about the camera trap techniques and its usage in wildlife monitoring.

The training was organized by Wild-CER in association with Pench Tiger Reserve, Maharashtra, HCLFoundation and Maharashtra Forest Department.
