World Rabies Day celebrated at Tadoba Andhari Tiger Reserve

Celebrating World Rabies Day on 28th September 2024, Wild-CER trained 170 members of Primary Response Team members of Tadoba Andhari Tiger Reserve (TATR), Maharashtra. The theme of this day was ‘Breaking rabies boundaries’.

Rabies is a devastating disease of wild and domestic animals as well as human being; that claims thousands of lives annually. But we can change this! By vaccinating our pets, educating our communities, and supporting rabies elimination efforts, we can create a world free from this deadly disease.

“Every year, millions of people worldwide are exposed to rabies. But with prompt medical attention and vaccination, we can prevent this deadly disease. Let’s work together to eliminate rabies and ensure a safer world for humans and animals alike!”

Around 170 members of Primary Response Team of Tadoba Andhari Tiger Reserve, Maharashtra were introduced to rabies, role of PRT in neutering operations and disease surveillance, during celebration of World Rabies Day on 28th September 2024.

In all, four training programs were conducted which were supported by HaritbyHCLFoundation and Tadoba Andhari Tiger Reserve, was successfully conducted at Agarzari and Madnapur, TATR
