Dr. Bahar Baviskar, President, Wild-CER was awarded with the Wildlife Conservation Award by Forest Minister Shri. Sudhir Mungantiwar in a function organized by Vanrai Foundation in Nagpur, Maharashtra for his services of treating orphan/injured wild animals and birds.
Shri. Mungantiwar lauded valuable services rendered by Dr. Baviskar to animals and birds. He said other should emulate such qualities by extending services in other ways and man has to do something for returning social obligations. Dr. Baviskar is serving as the role model for young generation to serve the wildlife, he added.
Vishwas Pathak, Managing Director, Tarun Bharat presided over the function. Dr. Girish Gandhi, President of the Fondation, Dr. Pinak Dande and Anil Rathi were among those who were present on the dias.
The award is given in the memory of Laxmikant Harkare, noted wildlife conservationist from Nagpur.
